Quilt Binding Calculator
Work out how many binding strips to cut and how much fabric to buy for any quilt size.
How it works
Binding length is the quilt perimeter plus 10 inches for joining strips, turning corners and finishing the ends. Strips are cut across the width of fabric (42 inches usable by default), and the fabric is rounded up to the next 1/8 yard. Buy a little extra if your fabric is narrower or you want to straighten the edge first.
